Hello, this is the first time I will be investing in a "good" smartphone (budget 600 - 900) mostly for professional use. I have been using androids but I know that a potential transition to iPhone will not be a problem.

What i'm looking for is a device that will last a few years with proper care and use. I don't really care about photo quality. I care mostly about hardware quality that will contribute to its longevity, as well as battery, which makes me nervous about iphones. I rarely use my phone for anything else other than some limited social media scrolling / browsing / calls / video calls, and I would love to have a phone that will last until the evening without charging, which is something that all my 200-300 euro phones were doing so far, and apparently it is uncertain if iphones can.

I have received suggestions of devices from lesser-known to nearly unknown brands (outside of people who follow the market), but i'd want to avoid that if possible and stick to established brands, since it's otherwise impossible to predict if a startup brand and its devices will have survived 3-5 years in the future, when I still plan on having the same phone.

Sorry for long post. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Okay, I understand. You're looking for a reliable smartphone from a well-established brand in the 600-900 euro price range, prioritizing longevity, battery life, and hardware quality over camera capabilities. You mainly use your phone for professional tasks, browsing, and communication, and you need it to last a full day on a single charge. You're open to both Android and iOS, but are a bit concerned about iPhone battery life. I'll focus my search on phones known for their robust build quality, long-term software support, and excellent battery performance from reputable brands.

Okay, I've reviewed the search results. Based on your preferences for longevity, battery life, and reliable brands, here are a couple of options that stand out, along with some considerations:

  • Samsung Galaxy S24 FE:

  • Google Pixel 8a:

Do these options align with what you're looking for? Would you like me to refine the search based on any specific features or aspects of these phones?
